NAKODAR
Thieves barged into a textile mill on Nurmahal Road on Tuesday night and decamped away with costly machinery parts.
Needdo Textile Mill Private Limited’s managing director Tarlok Bhatara complained to police thieves stole copper parts of machinery including welding set motors and generators.
Nakodar City Station House Officer Dharminder Kaliyan visited the mill premises after receiving the complaint.
Bhatara said that thieves stole machinery parts worth Rs 12 Lakhs from the mill.
This incident of theft has created a sense of fear and insecurity among residents and put a question mark on police patrolling.
Nakodar deputy superintendent of police has recently said that special police would be deployed in the city to check increasing incidents of thefts.
