Punjab Traders Commission addresses  grievances  of business community


 
JALANDHAR
Punjab State Traders’ Commission Chairman Anil Thakur today called upon industrialists/traders to avail maximum benefit of the One Time Settlement (OTS) policy rolled out by the Punjab Government as the last date to apply for this scheme is March 15, 2024.
 
The Chairman was presiding over a meeting with the prominent industrialists/traders of Jalandhar City at the district administrative complex wherein he appealed to them to join hands with the state government to make its policies industry-friendly.

He mentioned that as per OTS policy, anyone having pending VAT and CST up to Rs. One crore can apply for a waiver ranging from 50 percent to one hundred percent of the tax amount and a 100% waiver of the Interest and Penalty amount in correspondence to the pending arrears.

He categorically mentioned that the state government was making concerted efforts to involve the business community in policy matters by inculcating their valuable feedback and suggestions in its policy through the commission.
 
He also listened to various issues and problems raised by the local industrialists present in the meeting and assured effective resolution for the same by issuing necessary directions to the departments concerned.

Prominent others present on the occasion included Chairperson Punjab State Container and Warehousing Corporation Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Members Dr. Anil Bhardwaj, Indervansh Chadha, and Harinderpal Singh.

The officials from the state GST department welcomed the Chairman on his arrival in the city and partook in the discussions that prevailed among the representatives of the Industry and Trade Association and Punjab State Traders’ Commission.
