Staff crunch affects PSPCL’s functioning in Nakodar

 

NAKODAR

 The Nakodar sub-urban division of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is facing a severe staff shortage which is hampering the routine functioning of the office. Of the 38 sanctioned posts of junior engineers in the division, 25 are vacant.  Of the 200 posts of linemen and 329 assistant linemen, 164 and 292 are vacant respectively.  All 15 posts of bill distributors are lying vacant.

 Of the 59 posts of lower divisional cleck 46 are vacant. Of the 15 posts of peon and 8 of the watchmen, 9 and 7 are vacant.

 

 Executive engineer Vinay Komal said that the complaint redressal had become harder due to the staff shortage. He said there has been a many-fold increase in workload while the staff strength had been greatly reduced.
