Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh today said that the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has created a pro-industry environment in the state to make Punjab a hub for industrial development.
The cabinet minister, who was the chief guest on the last day of the ongoing 6th Machine Expo related to industrial machinery at Naw Grain Market, said that the 'AAP' government is the first government in Punjab that is continuously striving to promote industries in the state and solve their problems. He said that many big steps are being taken by the Punjab government to promote industries in the state and bring more industries.
The cabinet minister further said that it is the government of the Aam Aadmi Party, which formulates policies by taking all sections together. He also said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has held meetings with the industrialists in different parts of the state and taken their suggestions, which are being implemented for the advancement of industry and the development of the state.
The minister also said that the state government has created a conducive environment for industries in the state and concerted efforts were being made in this direction.
Appreciating the efforts of the organizers to hold an exhibition related to machinery, the Cabinet Minister said that such exhibitions play an important role in the progress of industries by showcasing new technologies.
He expressed the hope that Jalandhar, which is known for manufacturing of sports goods, leather goods, hand tools, pipe fittings and many other products, will benefit greatly from the machinery and technology displayed in this exhibition.
He also stated that the students of ITIs and Engineering should take advantage of such exhibitions and get maximum information about the modern technologies displayed in them. Meanwhile, the Minister also got information about the types of machinery displayed at different stalls.
