The Lohian Khas police have arrested a villager on the charges of attempt to murder and firing.
Investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurbaksh Singh alias Juj son of Sukhdev Singh a resident of Seche Wal village.
IO said a case under sections 307(attempt to murder) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC and section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act was registered against the accused and his two accomplices who are absconding adding that a pistol 32 bore and 6 live cartridges of 7.65 bore have been recovered from his possession.
