The Shahkot police have booked three thieves on a charge of stealing a motor from a farmer’s borewell.
Investigating Officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Deepa Singh son of Jagir Singh a resident of Jalal Pur village in Moga, Pamma Singh son of Surjit Singha resident of Bahmannia village and Gurpreet Singh son of Balwinder Singh a resident of Rame village.
Gajann Singh a resident of Kawan Wala village in Moga complained to the police that the accused barged into his borewell room in Thammu Wal village on 22 January night and stole a 5 HP motor.
IO said that a case under sections 380(theft in dwelling house) and 457(lurking house-trespass) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused and further investigation is on.
