 Nakodar, Phillaur people give rousing welcome to Punjab tableaux


  

NAKODAR-
 The tableaux depicting the glorious history of Punjab reached Jalandhar District on Sunday, where the people in  Nakodar and  Phillaur gave these tableaux a grand welcome. 
 
On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal, SDM Phillaur Amanpal Singh, and SDM Nakodar Gursimran Singh Dhillon they welcomed these tableaux upon their arrival here on behalf of the Jalandhar Administration. 

On Monday, these tableaux will reach Nakodar Chowk via Nakodar, Lambra and then from here will leave for Amritsar district. 

These tableaus include portrayer of Jallianwala Bagh incident, Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Karta Singh Sarabha, Shaheed Udham Singh, Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Sukhdev, Lala Hardiyal, Sardar Ajit Singh, Baba Kharak Singh, Madan  Lal Dhingra, Dr. Diwan Singh Kalepani besides other great personalities.
 
Similarly, through the second tableau, a life-size statue of Mai Bhago – the great Sikh woman warrior was displayed to further emphasize women empowerment. Likewise, Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls has displayed portraits of successful girls who have earned fame in various fields.  Similarly, through the third tableau, a glimpse of the rich heritage and civilization of Punjab has been presented. 
 
It may be mentioned here that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had announced to display these tableaux in various parts of Punjab.  Subsequently, these tableaux reached Jalandhar district on Sunday so that common people can also get information about these tableaux. 
 
After seeing these tableaux, people thanked the Punjab Government as they got a glimpse of the great glorious history of Punjab, the contribution of Punjabis in the freedom struggle and women empowerment. 

They also stated that this effort will prove to be a milestone in making our youth aware of the rich heritage of Punjab and the role of Punjabis in the freedom struggle.

On Sunday, these tableaux reached Phillaur, then marched for Nakodar via Gorayan and Jandiala, where people gave a grand welcome to these tableaux.  After this, these tableaux reached Nakodar, where again many people, especially school students, came to see them. 

On Monday, these tableaux will enter the city via Nakodar Road, from where they will start their journey towards Amritsar district.
