SHAHKOT
The Shahkot police have arrested a resident on the charge of illegal construction on NRI’s plot.
Investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Mandan Lal son of Bihari Lal a resident of Model Town Shahkot.
Kulwinder Singh a native of Said Pur Jirri village and presently living in England had complained to the police that the accused forcibly and illegally constructed a building on his plot in Model Town.
IO said a case under section 447(criminal trespass) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and his son Rohit Arora who is absconding.
