The Bilga police have arrested two women on the charge of assaulting a woman.
The investigating officer (IO) Nachhtar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Lakhwinder Kaur wife of Ram Singh a resident of Partap Pura village and her aunt Manjit Kaur wife of Jasvir Singh a resident of Jhal Thikriwala village under Kotwali police station in Kapurthala.
Kulwinder Kaur wife of Ram Singh a resident of Partap Pura village complained to the police that the accused attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and bricks on November 18.
IO said a case under sections 323,324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) and 34 (committing a crime with common intention) of the IPC and section 452(lurking house-trespass) was added in the FIR registered against the accused and Joga a resident of Jhal Thikri Wal village in Kapurthala.
