JALANDHAR
Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Tuesday directed the various government departments to speed up the ongoing development works besides ensuring quality work so that people could benefit from these projects in time.
He also asked the officers to immediately submit a complete status report of all ongoing development projects in the district.
Sarangal issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting with departments, held in the district administrative complex.
He said that development works worth several crores were underway in the district and these needed to be completed at the earliest to facilitate the people.
He said that efforts would be made to ensure that all of these works are completed in the shortest possible time. He said that there must not be any kind of laxity in the delay of projects and added that he will be monitoring the development projects himself.
He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was making sincere efforts to ensure the all-round development of the Jalandhar and there was no paucity of funds for the projects.
He said that every department must submit the details within a day to get a clear picture of the status of the works and action can be taken accordingly to ensure expeditiously completion.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that if they face any problem or hindrance, they could bring it to his notice directly. He also asked all department heads to review these works under their jurisdiction personally.
