The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a Jalandhar city resident on the charge of stealing a sheep and lamb.
Investigating officer (IO) Amrik Singh said that the accused has been identified as Mahesh alias Deepu son of Rajinder Kumar a resident of Abaad Pura, Jalandhar city.
Mohamad Salim a resident of Gohir village complained to the police that the accused and his accomplice stole a sheep and a lamb from his cattle enclosure.
IO said a case under sections 457(lurking house-trespass) 380(theft in dwelling house) and 34(committing the crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and his accomplice identified as Kuldeep Singh son of Kashmir Singh a resident of Tahli village who is absconding.
