The Shahkot police have booked two villagers on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.
Investigating Officer (IO) Gurnam Singh said that the accused have been identified as Joginder Singh alias Kndi and Gurmukh Singh residents of Talwandi Madho village.
Ravinder Kumar a resident of the same village complained to the police that he was returning home from his Dhaba on November 4, 2023, when the accused waylaid him attacked him with weapons injured him, and threatened with dire consequences. He said the accused also pointed at him a pistol.
IO said that a case under sections 323, (voluntarily causing hurt ),341(wrongful restrain ),506(criminal intimidation), and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC and sections 27/54/59 of the Arm's Act has been registered against the accused.
