Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal today said that on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on January 17, special camps will be organized for voter registration for Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) elections at Gurdwara Sahib located at various places across the district.
Congratulating the people on the Parkash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji , the Deputy commissioner also informed that in these camps, the Patwari of the concerned area will accept forms concerning voters' registration so that no voter is deprived of his right to franchise.
He also said that for the convenience of the voters, these special camps are being organized across the district by the administration, hence the voters should also come forward and take advantage of these camps.
He appealed to all the eligible voters to register their votes by attending these special camps on Wednesday.
He said that Patwaris will remain present at the respective places and accept application forms on behalf of eligible voters between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
