The Lohian Khas police have booked three members of a family including a woman
on the charge of voluntarily causing hurt, and assault on a woman to outrage her modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Avtar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Joginder alias Jindu Lakhwinder Singh son of Banta Singh a resident of Mianni village, his wife Amarjit Kaur alias Ambi, and brother Mohinder Singh.
Veer Kaur wife of Gurmukh Singh a resident of Sher Pur Taba village under Dharam Kot police station in Moga complained to the police that the accused waylaid her and her son on April 26, 2023, assaulted them, and tore her clothes.
IO said that a report under section 323 was registered in the daily diary on April 28 and now the station house officer visited the place of crime and ordered the registration of a case and a case under section 354,354-B(assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) 323(voluntarily causing hurt) 341(wrongful restraint ) and 34(committing a crime with common intention ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused .
