Faridkot police cracks whip on bootleggers,illicit liquor sellers,5 booked

Faridkot police have booked five persons under excise act in four different cases on Wednesday.

The police have claimed to have seized 20 bottles of illicit liquor and his activa vehicle from one Vishal Kumar, who is a resident of Faridkot town.

Vishal has been booked under section 61/1/1914 of excise act at police station city Faridkot on the complaint of ASI Viram Singh, of CIA staff Faridkot.

IN another case, the police have claimed to have seized 30 litres of Lahan(hooch) from Nachattar Singh of village Sukhan Wala. He was booked on the complaint of ASI Jagtar Singh.

City police of Kotkapura have arrested two persons for allegedly selling 20 litres of illicit liquor and seized their motorcycle with a fake registration plate plate.

Both the accused,Satpal Singh and Sukhwinder Singh have been booked under excise act on the complaint of ASI Lachman Singh.

In another case, city police of Kotkapura have booked Satnam Singh from Kotkapura on the complaint of ASI Gurmail Singh.

“The police party was informed that the accused was in business of selling cheap liquor by bringing it from other districts. During the raid, the police have recovered 23 bottles of Desi and English liquor of different brands,” said Gurmail Singh, his complaint against the accused.
