The Lohian Khas police have arrested a woman drug peddler on the charge of selling poppy husk and hooch.
Station House Officer (SHO) Hardev Preet Singh said that 2. kilograms of poppy husk and 20 bottles of illicit country-made liquor were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Paramjit Kaur wife of Charanjit Singh a resident of Mandala Chhana.
SHO said that a case under section 15 /61/85 of the NDPS Act and 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused and sub-inspector Govindr Singh is conducting further investigations.
