Jalandhar registers 1718 mutation cases in special camps -DC

In a major achievement, the district administration registered 1718 mutation cases in a single day under special camps organized at all Tehsils and sub-tehsils yesterday.
Deputy commissioner Vishesh Sarangal informed that the concrete efforts and cooperation from people have made the camps a great success as 1718 mutations were resolved out of 2632 applications received in 18 camps in the district.

He also told the revenue officials to dispose of the remaining 914 cases as early as possible.

He also informed that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, these special camps for mutations will again be organized at all tehsils and sub-tehsils on January 15.

Besides the Deputy Commissioner also asked the officials to visit the villages/mohallas on a particular day every week to settle the mutation cases, especially where concerned parties have mutual consent.

Across the district, Tehsildar Jalandhar -2 made a maximum of 277 mutation cases followed by Tehsildar Jalandhar -1 with 262 and Phillaur Tehsil cleared 258.
Terming is a giant step towards the service delivery to people in a hassle-free manner, Sarangal also informed that not only pending 1755 mutation cases are listed in the camps but also 877 present/fresh cases are also processed by the authorities.
It may be mentioned here that camps have been organized at 18 tehsils and sub tehsils in the district, where tehsil Jalandhar -1 settled 262 mutation cases, tehsil Jalandhar -2 settled 277, Adampur 45, Nakodar 170, Shahkot 34, Phillaur 258, Naib tehsildar Jalandhar-1 settled 86 cases, NB Adampur 10, NB Jalandhar -2 settled 188, NB Kartarpur 53, NB Bhogpur 15, NB Nakodar 63, NB Mehatpur 54, NB Shahkot 30, NB Lohian 12, NB Phillaur 46, NB Goraya 69 and NB Nurmahal have settled 46 mutation cases.
