The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested three miscreants on the charge of snatching a smartphone from a migrant.
Investigating Officer (IO) Major Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh alias Raju son of Joti Sarup, Ramjan Mohamad alias Jana son of Akbar Mohamad residents of Shahkar village, and Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha son of Surinder Singh a resident of Ladhe Wali village.
Vipin a resident of UP and presently living at Nakodar marriage place complained to the police that three accused waylaid near Mallian Kalan and snatched his smart mobile phone at the point of sharp-edged weapons.
IO said that a case under section 379-A (snatching) 506(criminal intimidation) and 34(committing the crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
