To facilitate the people, the district administration is all set to organize special camps at tehsils and sub-tehsils of the district on January 6 (Saturday) for the settlement of pending mutation cases.
Providing more information, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that as per the instructions issued by the Punjab government and given the public interest, the district tehsil office Shahkot, Jalandhar-1, Jalandhar-2, Nakodar, Phillaur and Adampur apart from sub tehsil office Lohian, Mehatpur, Nurmahal, Bhogpur and Kartarpur would organize special camps.
Sarangal further informed that the officials and employees of the revenue department will be present in these camps and will register the pending transfers regarding the properties of the people. He said that instructions have already been issued to the officials to ensure the convenience of the people coming to the camps so that the people do not face any kind of problem.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the people to avail maximum benefit of these camps which will be held from 9 am to 5 pm.
He said that the people whose mutation cases are pending after the registration of their properties, can reach these camps on time and take advantage of the facility.
