Property dealer among two booked for violating Regulation Act

 

SHAHKOT

The Shahkot police have booked two persons including a property dealer on the charge of violating the Regulation Act.

Investigating officer (IO) Parminder Singh said that the accused has been identified as Jugraj Singh son of Jagjit Singh a resident of Kot Esse Khan, Dharam Kot Road in Moga (proprietor of Ma Chint Purani Promoter and Development Private Limited) and  Madan Lal son of Bihari Lal a resident of Model Town, Shahkot.

The executive Officer of Shahkot Nagar Panchayat complained to the police that the Additional Deputy Commissioner (urban development) has ordered that action should be taken against unauthorized colonizers and legal action be taken against erring property dealers.

IO said that a case under section 36(1) (any promoter who, without reasonable cause, fails to comply with or contravenes the provisions of sections 3, 6, 9 (save as provided in sub-section (2) of this section) or section 15 shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees, or with both)

 

 of the Punjab Apartment and Property Act 1996 has been registered against the accused.
