The Bilga police have charged GaganDeep Singh a resident of Gorsian Nihal village, his father Bhajan Singh, and his mother Surinder Kaur with dowry harassment. Jaspreet Kaur daughter of Dilawar Singh a resident of Burj Kela village complained to the police that she had been tortured for dowry ever since her marriage.
Investigating officer Avtar Lal said a case under section 406(breach of trust) and 498-A9torturing woman for dowry) was registered
after an inquiry and no arrests have been made.
