Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh on Saturday said that the state government was ensuring all-round development of every section of the society in the state.
Presiding over an event in Kartarpur, the cabinet minister said that the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had been ensuring an uninterrupted pace of development in the state. He said that it was the commitment of the state government that unprecedented and unparalleled development has been witnessed in the Punjab.
Singh said that AAP had committed to clean and transparent governance for the people for which it had launched a war against corruption. He also said that the topmost priority was being given to completing development works on time. He also spoke about historic decisions of the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann including 600 free units of electricity, one MLA-one pension, 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics, Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme, ‘Sarkar, Tuhade Dwar, 40000 government jobs and many more during his address.
Highlighting the development of Kartarpur, the Minister said that vehicles had been provided to MC for collecting door-to-door garbage regularly to ensure cleanliness in the city. He also said that a road would be constructed near Gurdwara Sri Gangsar Sahib for Rs 2.5 crore for which tenders will be floated soon. He also said as the city relates to Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, a memorial gate will also be built here in the name of Guru Sahib.
On the occasion, he also welcomed MC Komal Agarwal and several others into the party's fold.
