The Nurmahal police have booked the husband of a woman on the charge of abetting suicide. Investigating officer (IO) Daljit Singh said the accused has been identified as Sajjan son of Dulare a native of UP and presently living at Kandola Kalan village.
Captan son of Mahan Dev a resident of UP and paternal uncle of the deceased complained to the police that his nice Kiran’s marriage was solemnized with Sajjan in 2018 who was harassing and abusing his nice following which Kiran committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in her in-law’s house on Friday night.
The IO said a case under section 306 (abetting suicide) of the IPC has been registered against the accused Sajjan and further investigations are on. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
