The Shahkot police have booked a resident on the charge of stealing consumer goods from a house.
Investigating officer Amandeep Kaur said that the accused has been identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Prince son of Veer Singh a resident of Mohalla Baghwala, Shahkot.
Indarjit Singh a resident of Ugar Pur Dhalla village in Kapurthala complained to the police that the accused barged into his tenant Tirath Ram’s house and stole 1 AC, an LED, Refrigerator, a washing machine, and a big Almirah.
IO said that a case under sections 457 (lurking house-trespass) and 380(theft in dwelling house) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
