SHAHKOT
The Shahkot police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling illicit country-made liquor.
Investigating officer Jagtar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Surjit Singh alias Neeta a resident of Jafar Pur Tanga Torri village.
IO said that 20 bottles of hooch were recovered from the possession of the accused. A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
