Minister for Local Bodies of Punjab Balkar Singh on Thursday said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government is working with the agenda of development and public welfare on a priority basis so that the living standard of people can be raised.
While felicitating the newly elected Chairman of Block Samiti Jalandhar West Avinash Kumar here today, the Cabinet Minister said the opening of 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics, Schools of Eminence, free pilgrimage scheme for the people besides providing free electricity to the more than 85 % of the families show the pro-people decisions of the Punjab government. He also held a meeting with the newly elected chairman Avinash Kumar members of the block samiti and administrative officers and asked the block samiti representatives and officials to chalk out a comprehensive plan for the holistic development of villages under their jurisdiction.
Singh also asked them to send proposals for development works through the block samiti soon so that they can be completed on a priority basis.
On this occasion, SDM Balbir Raj, BDPO Sewa Singh, and other officers were also present.
