NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have arrested two villagers on the charge d consuming drugs in the open.
Investigating Officer (IO) Dilbag Singh said that the accused has been identified as Amarjeet Singh son of Gurbachan Singh a resident of Billi Chaharmi village under Shahkot police station and Sunni Kumar son of Joginder Pal a resident of Bopa Rai Kalan village
IO said the police had recovered a currency note of ₹10, a lighter, and silver foil, from their possession and had consumed the drugs in the open.
IO said a case under sections 27/ 61/ 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
