The Shahkot police have arrested two peddlers on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.
Station House Officer (SHO) Sukhjit Singh said that 93 intoxicant tablets (loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurmit Singh alias Sain son of Pritam Singh a resident of Mohalla Bhagwala Shahkot and Ajay Pal alias Ajay son of Mukhtiar Singh a resident of Model Town colony.
SHO said that cases under sections 22(B) /61/85 of the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused and assistant sub-inspectors Buta Ram and Balvir Chand are conducting further investigations.
