Administration approves incentives of Rs 4.91 crore to three industries


JALANDHAR

The district-level scrutiny committee set up under Industrial and Business Development Policy-2022 on Wednesday approved incentives worth Rs 4.91 crore to three business establishments for setting up their new industries.
Chairing the meeting of the committee, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal sanctioned incentives in terms of exemptions in CLU charges, External Development Charges, and others worth Rs 4.91 crore to the three industries included GGR Clubs Private Limited, MD Tea Industries Private Limited and Shree Balaji Wires.
Sarangal said that the administration was committed to helping investors in establishing their new units and a dedicated cell was already put in place to assist industries under which prompt approvals are being granted for new units under Business First Portal. He urged the business community to bring maximum investments in the district as the administration has already created an industry-friendly environment in the district. He also said that new investments would not only help in the development of the district but also create employment opportunities.
Prominent others present on the occasion included GM District Industries Centre Deep Singh Gill, FM DIC Manjit Lally, and others.
