Minister Balkar Singh lays foundation stones and dedicates development projects

Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh on Tuesday laid foundation stones and dedicated multiple developmental projects of roads, sewerage, and water supply worth Rs 1.30 crore in seven villages of the district.

The projects were related to the laying of interlocking tiles, sewerage, water supply, road construction, and other infrastructural works in Wadala, Chogawan, Sammipur, Hussainpur, Singha, Chitti and Dyalpur.

Addressing the people after inaugurating the projects, the Minister said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given top priority to infrastructure development in the villages that lagged in terms of development during the regime of previous governments.

He said that every village in the district would get modern roads, sanitation, street lighting, and playgrounds to ensure ease of life for the people. He said that there was no dearth of funds with the government for these works.

Singh said that AAP had committed to clean and transparent governance for the people for which it had launched a war against corruption. He also said that the topmost priority was being given to completing development works on time. He also spoke about historic decisions of the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann including 600 free units of electricity, one MLA-one pension, 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics, Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme, ‘Sarkar, Tuhade Dwar, over 40000 government jobs and many more during his address.
