The Shahkot police have booked a villager on the charge of selling illicit country-made liquor.
Investigating officer Puran Singh said that the accused has been identified as Bagga Singh a resident of Thamu Wal village. 60 bottles of hooch were recovered from his house, but the accused managed to flee from the spot. A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against him.
