The Phllaur police have arrested a notorious woman smuggler peddler on the charge of selling heroin.
Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) M.S, Bhullar said that 500 grams of heroin and Rs 5,22 Lakhs of drug money were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Amarjeet Kaur alias Jeetan wife of Kuldeep Singh a resident of Parag Pur village under Aurr police station in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar.
SSP said that a case under section 21(c) 61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and seven cases of drug peddling are pending against her and Phillaur SHO Neeraj Kumar is conducting further investigations.
The Nakodar Sadar police arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.
Investigating Officer (IO) Som Nath said that 604 intoxicant tablets were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Amandeep alias Amna son of Chinder Pal a resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura Nakodar city.
IO said that cases under sections 22(b)/61/85 of the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused.
The Nakodar city police also arrested drug peddler Sumit Sahota alias Film son of Balraj of Mohalla Rishi Nagar with 112 intoxicant tablets said IO Hans Raj.
