The Mehat Pur police have booked four persons on the charges of assault, criminal intimidation, and rioting.
Investigating officer (IO) Balwinder Singh said that the accused have been identified as Malook Singh a resident of Thooth Garh village in Moga his sons Lovepreet Singh, Gursewak Singh, and Gurbinder Singh residents of the same village.
Jagan Nath a resident of Gobind Nagar Khude village complained to the police that the accused barged into his house scaling the boundary wall attacked him with sharp-edged weapons injured him and threatened him with dire consequences.
IO said a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt),452(lurking house-trespass) 427(mischief) 506(criminal intimidation),
and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
