Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh lays foundation stones for sewerage infrastructure projects

Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh on Tuesday laid the foundation stones for two sewerage infrastructure projects worth Rs 142.12 lakh in Nurpur Colony, Shekhe, and Mubarkpur localities of the district.
Singh, addressing the people said that 200 mm Dia 1500 meter and 250 mm Dia 171 meter new sewer lines would be constructed in Nurpur colony, and house connections would also be connected with lines. He said that the project would benefit 5000 people in the area. He said that the total outlay of this project was Rs. 102.96 lakh.
The Minister said that in Shekhe and Mubarkpur areas, the 200 mm Dia 880-meter new sewer line would be laid for which Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board has sanctioned Rs 39.16 lakh. He said that this project would solve the problem of sewerage and benefit 4000 people.
Singh said that the Punjab Government was working round the clock for the development of the villages and making earnest efforts to provide basic facilities to them.
The Minister said that the topmost priority was being given to completing development works on time. He highlighted historic decisions of the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann including 600 free units of electricity, one MLA-one pension, 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics, Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme, ‘Sarkar, Tuhade Dwar’, or doorstep delivery of 43 government services (helpline 1076) 40000 government jobs during his address.
