The Shahkot police have booked a woman on the charge of selling and brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officer Kashmir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Neetu wife of Boby a resident of Sanda village and 100 kg lahann(raw liquor) and utensils for brewing were recovered from her house and she managed to flee from the spot. A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
