SHAHKOT
The Shahkot police have arrested a shopkeeper on the charges of cheating and gambling.
Investigating officer Lakhbir Singh (IO) said that the accused has been identified as Naresh Kumar son of Mandan Lal a resident of Pati Haveli Malsian village
IO said that the accused was selling betting slips in his shop and was cheating innocent residents.
Rs. 845 0 was recovered from his possession. A case under section 420(cheating) of the IPC and sections 13-A-3-67 of the Punjab Gambling Act has been registered against the accused.
