The District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Friday said that December 9 was the last day for filling claims and objections to the draft voter list.
Sarangal said that the persons who had turned 18 years of age or older on January 1, 2024, can submit applications in Form No. 6 to get their names included in the voter list. He said that applications to raise objections on the name included in the voter list or to get the vote deducted, to correct any error, to correct the address, or the duplicate voter card can be submitted to the concerned booth-level officer. Apart from this, one can also apply online through the Voter helpline app or voter portal www.nvsp.in
As per the publication of the draft electoral rolls of Jalandhar, the total number of voters in the district is 16,17,339 of which 8,42,596 are men, 7,74,700 women, and 43 third genders.
