The entrance test (for boys only) of the prestigious Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, Mohali will be held in January 2024.
Divulging more details, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that the test would be held to select candidates for the 14th session (2024-2026) of the institute. He said that the application could be submitted online at www.recruitment-portal.in and the application link will remain open till December 29, 2023. The boys with a Punjab Domicile are eligible for the exam. The aspirants for the exam must have been pursuing matric (10th) of any Board and the date of birth must not be before July 2, 2007, and not later than Jan 1, 2010. The candidates who have already passed Class 10th and are currently studying in Class 11th can also apply provided they meet the age criteria. However, such candidates will be required to repeat Class 11th if selected for admission to AFPI.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the students selected by this institute will be prepared for NDA written and physical tests and they will also study 11th and 12th education from the best schools in Mohali. He appealed to the youth of the district to ensure maximum participation in the examination to increase the representation of Punjab in the defense forces.
