The Nakodar city police have booked an unidentified truck driver on charges of rash driving, endangering life, and mischief.
Jarnail Singh a resident of Ghandran village complained to the police that he and his son Suraj Singh were returning home on their two-wheelers on December 4 night.
He said that when they reached Bal Hukami village a truck was parked on the road near a Dhaba without any indicators and his son's motorcycle collided with a stationary truck and was seriously injured and accused driver managed to flee with his vehicle.
The investigating officer Hans Raj that a case under sections 279(rash driving on a public highway), 337,338(act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against the unidentified truck driver.
