The Bilga police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.
Station House Officer (SHO) Hardev Preet Singh said that 2300 intoxicant capsules (loose) and 500 intoxicant tablets (loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Rajinder Singh son of Mangal Singh a resident of Butte Dian Channa village under Mehat Pur police station and Prabhdeep Singh son of Mangal Singh a resident of Sardar Wala village under Lohian Khas police station who had sold contraband.
IO said that a case under section 22(b), (c) /61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused, and sub-inspector Anwar Masih is conducting further investigation.
