Because of the upcoming 2024 General Elections, the district administration will hold voter registration camps at all booths on December 2-3 in the district so that the people can get themselves registered as voters.
Giving further information, District Election Officer-cum- Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Friday said that special camps would be organized by booth-level officers (BLOs) at all polling stations in the district on Saturday and Sunday.
Sarangal said the BLOs would have voter lists with themselves through which voters can verify their details. He added that in case any voter finds a name missing from the list or wrong details or changes address, he/she can fill out required forms during the camps.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the youth could also register as voters through a single click on their computer or mobile, way back from their home. He said that the Election Commission of India had launched the National Voter Services Portal (NVSP) and Voter Helpline App. He said that the youth needed to click the link www.nvsp.in to get them registered as new voters. Likewise, Sarangal said that the youth can also download the Voter Helpline App from the Google Play store on their Android phone to unroll them as voters.
