Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Thursday evening conducted a surprise inspection in the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) office, Shakti Sadan to keep a check on the attendance of employees.
ETO reached the PSPCL office in the evening and personally checked the attendance registers of employees called by all the employees posted at various branches and checked their physical presence. After finishing the checking, he said that the purpose of the surprise visit was to ensure that the staff of the department remained present on duty. He also asked them to wear their identity cards during duty.
Harbhajan Singh told the officers that there should not be any kind of mismanagement in the functioning and that people must not suffer for getting their work done. He motivated them to facilitate the people in getting their day-to-day work done easily without causing any inconvenience.
The Minister also asked them to achieve the target of zero percent pendency as this would instill trust among the people in the government and its functioning. He said that the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed to implementing pro-people and development-oriented policies to benefit the masses.
Senior officers of PSPCL were also present on the occasion.
