The Mehat Pur police have booked two persons on the charges of breach of trust, cheating, and criminal crimination.
The investigating officer (IO) Gurnam Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh’s son of Naranjan Singh a resident of Parjian Khurd village and Sukhwinder Singh son of Nirmal Singh a resident of Haji Pur village in Ludhiana.
Tajinder Kaur daughter of Rashpal Singh a resident of Char Chaman, Karnal, Haryana complained to the Senior Superintendent of Police(SSP) Jalandhar (rural) that the accused signed an agreement with her to purchase her land situated in Mehat Pur but did not register any sale deed and fraudulently sold her ancestral land by plotting it but did not pay her any amount.
IO said that a case under sections 406(breach of trust), 420(cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry, and on the order of the SSP and further investigations are on.
