With an aim to create a more transparent and effective mechanism for quality healthcare services and saving crucial time for the patients and doctors, an Integrated hospital management system will be rolled out in Nakodar Civil Hospital next month.

Under the system, the delivery of healthcare services will be completely digitized and ensure a simplified treatment cycle from the Out Patient Department ( OPD) to the In-Patient Department( IPD), Lab report, pharmacy, and others.

Participating in the video conference, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that from OPD registration to lab/diagnostic reports and pharmacy slips would be made online, and complete information of patients would be recorded digitally by the health department.

He said that this system on the one hand would save the precious time of patients and doctors and other hand, would result in quality and effective healthcare services.

Meanwhile, DC also asked the civil hospital officials to find a suitable location for the cath lab. He also ordered the PWD department to send a fresh proposal for the cath lab at the earliest so that the same can be sent to the government.

He also took stock of the status of shifting of Civil Surgeon’s office from an existing location to another place as a 100-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU) will be established there.

Prominent amongst those present on occasion included ADC (G) Major Dr. Amit Mahajan, DMC Dr Jyoti Sharma, and others.
