JALANDHAR
To cover a maximum number of beneficiaries of several Central Government schemes by reaching them directly, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is set to be launched tomorrow November 28 in Jalandhar Rural. The district administration is fully prepared for the success of the Yatra, which would benefit the public.
The Van having information, education, and communication (IEC) materials like pamphlets, and booklets on the various central government schemes will be available for public awareness at various places in the district as per a pre-defined schedule. The Van will also be equipped with a sound system and digital LED screen to showcase videos of Prime Minister's address, videos of beneficiaries and some other small awareness movies.
The Van would formally be flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Sh. Vishesh Sarangal from the deputy commissioner's office.
Senior IRS officer Bharat Prakash, who is the District Prabhari for this national campaign, recently held a meeting in this regard with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa and other officials of various departments involved in it.
He said that this is the largest-ever endeavor of the central government to reach out to the last man to provide him benefits and make him further aware to avail of benefits.
