On the occasion of Audit Diwas, the district administration on Wednesday organized a Pension Adalat in the district administrative complex and a total of 36 pensioners of the state and central governments today took benefit of Adalat.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa said that the aim of the Pension Adalat was to redress the grievances of the pensioners of the state and central governments. He said that the Adalat was organized to make sure that pensioners were facilitated in getting their work done without any sort of delay. He said that the district administration was duty-bound to help the retired employees who had spent decades in public service.
On the occasion, Bajwa also directed all the departments’ heads to accord top priority to the resolution of the issues of the pensioners. He also asked the officers to ensure a constant follow-up of these cases, so that the pensioners could be resolved at the earliest.
Meanwhile, 36 applications were received in today’s Pension Adalat and transferred to various departments for immediate resolution.
Prominent among those present are Senior Account Officers from the AG Office Gurpartap Singh, Vivek Kumar, Chander Lal, Sachin, and heads of various departments.
