The Shahkot police have booked unidentified farmers on the charges of burning paddy stubble fields.
Station House Officer (SHO) Jaswinder Singh said the police received reports that farmers of Bahmannia, Chak Bahmannia, Jannia,Kania Khurd, Mulle Wal Brahmanna, Nawan Kila, Puniyan villages, and Shahkot set afire their paddy stubble fields and violated government order in this regard.
SHO said a case under section 188(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC has been registered against unidentified farmers.
