The Shahkot police have booked three persons including a father-son duo on the charge of assaulting a woman.
Investigating Officer (IO)Sarabjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Chain Singh a resident of Malu Pur village his son Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha and Jassa a resident of the same village.
Swaran Kaur wife of Shital Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into her house on the November 13 evening and attacked her and her father with weapons ransacked the house and threatened them with dire consequences.
IO said that a case under sections 323, (voluntarily causing hurt )458(house-breaking by night after preparation for hurt, assault, or wrongful restraint.), 427(mischief) 506(criminal intimidation), and 34(committing the crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
