DC greets people on Diwali, asks for green eco-friendly celebrations

Extending his warm greetings to the residents of the district on the festival of lights, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Saturday exhorted the people to celebrate green and eco-friendly Diwali.

The Deputy Commissioner said that people from all walks of life decorate their homes with earthen oil lamps and lights. He said that the festival was celebrated by all of us with utmost devotion and full religious zeal. He said that all the residents of the city must come forward and make a firm resolve to celebrate an environment-friendly Diwali. 

, Sarangal also asked the people to adhere to the directions of the court of bursting the crackers between 8 pm to 10 pm tomorrow on Diwali night. He said that every city resident must join hands with the government in its effort to wipe out the noise and air pollution completely. 

The Deputy Commissioner hoped that this Diwali would once again bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to the people.
