The Nurmahal police have booked a local resident on charges of rash driving, endangering life, and mischief.
Investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sanjay son of Ganesh Rishi Dev a resident of Nakodar Road colony, Nurmahal.
Shamsher Singh a resident of Mansoor Wal village under City Kapurthala police station complained to the police that the accused was driving his motorcycle negligently and fast on October 30 and hit his father Shingara Singh’s motorcycle near a petrol pump on Nurmahal-Nakodar road and seriously injured him.
IO said that a case under sections 279(rash driving on a public highway), 337,338 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
